Organ works by Miloslav Kabeláč

The main aim of this work is to introduce one of the most important Czech composers of the 20th century, Miloslav Kabeláč, specifically his works for organ. Kabeláč´s organ work includes two Fantasias op. 32, four preludes op. 48 and two sympohonies - 3rd symphony op. 33 and 8th symphony op. 54. For completion of author´s organ works I should not omit to mention the first Czech electroacoustic composition E fontibus Bohemicis - Six tableauxes from Czech annals op. 55. The first chapter is about composers´s life, following ones describe compositions. I also mentioned Kabeláč´s new typ of a notation.
Organ book from Bakov; focusing on organ compositions of J. I. Linek

The work gives an overview – a context, a list of the compositions, informations about the authors – about the organ book stored in Bakov nad Jizerou, where it also originated. Includes compositions by Jiří Ignác Linek, Josef Norbert Ferdinand Seger, František Xaver Brixi, Jan Augustin Fibiger, Robert Führer and anonymous. It is an important source for czech organ music, especially in the 18th century.
Schweitzer´s interpretation of J. S. Bach´s organ compositions in comparison to current practice

This thesis discusses the method of approach of Albert Schweitzer's performance interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's organ compositions and his influence on contemporary interpretations. The first part is devoted to the historical context of major milestones in the life of Albert Schweitzer and a history of interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's works. The second part of the study analyzes some of the recordings of Albert Schweitzer and of contemporary interpreters, their distinct interpretive approach and the registration of individual compositions.
Compositions for two organists

This thesis wants to capture the circumstances of creation of compositions for an initial period of two organists. It also wants to bring a summary of tracks for two players (both on one and on two instruments) as evidence of the interests of composers in this field, as well as some assistance for those wishing to those compositions. Thesis is divided into the following chapters: The first chapter gives a brief overview of the history of European music with respect to the period when at least sporadically appeared songs for two organists. The second chapter gives a brief insight into the history of the organ, their origin and evolution over the period music. Chapter three discusses the parallel development of other keyboard instruments, especially the piano and harpsichord, since a long time the musical literature for organ and these instruments are virtually identical. In the fourth chapter describes the development of chamber music and following the fifth chapter provides an overview of the development of four-handed play keyboards. Chapter Six brings a short treatise on the development works for two organists and seventh identifies specific problems in the actual interpretation. In the eighth chapter we follow compositional work of selected tracks and the ninth is of a similar nature. It is given to me the most important compositions for two players, six concerts P. Antonio Soler. The most important contribution of this work is the tenth chapter. It is the complete list of compositions organ duets.
ORGAN IN THE ARVO PÄRT´S WORK

The thesis is concerned with the life and compositions of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt and focuses on the importance of organ music in his work. It describes the complex development of his style caused by the inconvenience of his compositions’ themes for the then communist regime and Pärt’s conversion to the Orthodox Church. There is a separate part of the thesis devoted to the tintinnabuli style, characteristic for the second stage of his work life. Another part of the thesis focuses on the compositions for solo organ and vocal compositions with organ. It provides instructions for interpretation of each solo composition, based on literature or film records where the topic is explained by the author himself.

Theoretical basic of the organ interpretation

This work tries to explaine the history of organ interpretation and it´s evolution in Czechoslovakia between 1945 and 1989. Determining the cause of the organ interpretation, the work presents a new system ? the analysis of the musical interpretation in general. This analysis tries to describe musical interpretation as a logical and paradigmatical system based on elements of interpretation during the performing event. These elements are characterized as two hierarchical levels expalined by semantic and structural categories of the composition.
Organ in liturgy of Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession

The bachelor thesis, Organ in liturgy of Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession, forms the historical overview of liturgical orders in Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession in Slovakia, as they were used in single areas of this country. Within particular liturgical orders I focus mainly on their musical aspects and I document the organ´s use in the course of. I enquiry from the period of reformation up to the period of the 20th century and I approach the organ in Slovak Evangelical Church, as it domesticated and raised an important position. As the initial liturgical order for Slovak Lutherans I introduce the liturgical order of German Evangelica Church of the Luther reformation´s period. In other chapters I mention spe cific areas of Slovakia and the final chapter is set-in the present day and the recent organ´s use within the Evangelical Divine Service.
Organ Works on Theme B.A.C.H.

Subject for the following work provided the idea of uses cryptogram in music. There are many cryptograms but we will only deal with one and most important, the shape of which gave the name completer of the Baroque era. J. S. Bach was organist and he was and still is an inspiration especially for organists. We deal with the only the compositions for organ which use his cryptogram. Based on the analysis of several works we want to point out the different ways of working with the same theme and the distinctive style of each composer. We focus on the most famous authors and their works created on the theme B-A-C-H from the Romantic period, i.e. from the rediscovery of Baroque genius. A part of the work is a complete list of compositions on this theme, which states K. Beckmanns the publication Repertorium Orgelmusik. Its dimension it would certainly be surprising for each.
Tradition in interpretation of Czech organ repertoire of the 2nd half of the 20th century

The thesis provides a list of the most important organ compositions written in second half of the 20th century by several Czech composers. The second chapter analyses Kabeláč?s 4 Preludes for Organ and Mácha?s set 3 Toccatas for Organ. The notes about registration are attached as well as other instructions about the sheets interpretation based on the experience and whitness of the performer, who personally attended premieres of these compositions. The third chapter captures Associate professor Václav Rabas?s authentic observations.
